ABOUT THE POSITION

From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers and share product information to help them find suitable products. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor, ensuring product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient process execution and assist the Store Leadership Team in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions accurately and efficiently; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store profitability by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Respond to customer questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; understand customer needs and assist with buying decisions. Uphold Columbia's values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Up to 2 years of experience in a related role
• Experience in customer service
• Skill operating inventory and POS systems, and retail software tools
• Minimum age of 16 years

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment requiring constant movement; may involve lifting up to 40 lbs., use of specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in various locations.
• Clear communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours, which may change seasonally based on business needs, in compliance with laws.
