General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may perform various tasks across store areas as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe environment, report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect; be friendly and professional. Use recognition programs for fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers as needed, including register training, answering questions, and greeting customers regularly.
• Respond promptly to Customer service calls and issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support the Company brand consistently.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a clean environment.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Conduct daily store organization and recovery to standards.
• Expedite merchandise to the sales floor efficiently, following presentation guidelines.
• Understand and follow Loss Prevention policies and standards.
• Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information and merchandise.
• Follow policies for stock disposal and cash handling accurately.
• Work efficiently, maximizing productivity and minimizing steps.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership.
• Basic mathematical skills used in retail.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to operate store equipment and spend extensive time standing, walking, and moving.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and lift over 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work with janitorial and store supplies.
• Specific requirements for Stockroom shifts include lifting more than 20 pounds regularly.
