Staffmark Group is hiring a Retail Associate for our busy Monroe, LA store. The role involves greeting customers, helping them select sporting goods and outdoor gear, maintaining displays, and driving store sales. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, schedule Monday–Saturday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

Job Duties

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance throughout their shopping experience.
• Assist customers in selecting sporting goods, outdoor equipment, athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories.
• Learn product features, benefits, and specifications to make appropriate recommendations.
• Build relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and handle returns or exchanges.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floors and merchandise displays.
• Assist with receiving shipments, stocking shelves, pricing merchandise, and monitoring inventory.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions, and seasonal merchandise.
• Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
• Assist with inventory counts and loss prevention procedures.
• Work closely with management and team members to ensure smooth daily store operations.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sporting goods, hunting, fishing, athletics, or outdoor recreational products is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with a genuine desire to help customers.
• Ability to recommend products and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move merchandise as needed.
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is personable, motivated, dependable, and enjoys SALES!
• Someone who can strike up a conversation with customers, learn what they need, and help them find the right products.
• A genuine interest in sports and outdoor activities would be a huge plus!
• Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
• Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Retail Associate.
