ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. They ensure product availability, create eye-catching visual displays, address customer inquiries, and run efficient checkouts. Our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our company, brands, and products to consumers. You will serve customers, share product information, and help them find products that meet their needs. You will support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor, contributing to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes, and supporting the Store Leadership team in fulfilling our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions accurately and efficiently; promote loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store profitability by managing product receipt and processing.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products, features, and availability; understand their needs and support buying decisions.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, and procedures to support daily operations.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience interacting with and serving customers.
• Skill operating inventory and POS systems, and retail software tools.
• Must be 16 years or older.

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment; may require moving items weighing up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in varied locations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule that may change seasonally and based on business needs.
