General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed. Flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals is expected.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe, secure shopping environment by maintaining awareness and addressing unsafe conditions.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, including greeting, assisting, and thanking customers.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues, escalating to store leadership when necessary.
• Support the company brand and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a tidy store environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized and replenished, and assist with merchandise receipts and presentation.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Follow cash handling and transaction procedures accurately.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and support store operations.

Qualifications And Skills

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Ability to use store equipment and spend significant time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting over 25 pounds.
• Specific requirements for stockroom shifts include lifting over 20 pounds regularly.
