General Purpose:

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store tasks as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions:

• Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment.
• Maintain a clutter-free, safe store environment, report unsafe conditions.
• Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service, including greeting and thanking customers.
• Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and handle transactions accurately.
• Perform cleaning tasks regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized, replenished, and properly presented.
• Support loss prevention efforts and safeguard company assets.
• Follow policies regarding cash handling, refunds, and inventory management.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and touches to maximize productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership.
• Basic math skills for retail transactions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing, walking, and moving around.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally.
• For Stockroom shifts, ability to lift over 20 pounds regularly.
