Job Summary

Our Retail Associates are the face of our mission to our customers and the community. They work with integrity and a positive attitude, handling donated goods, collecting donations, processing, pricing, stocking, merchandising, performing cash register transactions, and providing sales floor recovery. They must be customer/donor-focused, operate independently, and understand business demands.

Essential Job Duties
  • Provide excellent service to customers and donors
  • Perform register transactions accurately
  • Maintain cash register stock levels
  • Follow housekeeping standards
  • Pull, price, rotate, size, and hang clothing
  • Achieve sales quotas
  • Follow sales procedures and ensure quality output
  • Merchandise sales floor as needed
  • Recover and organize the store
  • Perform janitorial duties
  • Ensure proper product categorization and merchandising
  • Accept, unload, and process donations
  • Maintain donation records
  • Sort and process donations per SOP
  • Unload/load trailers and trucks
  • Handle opening and closing donation procedures
  • Prepare donation reports
  • Grade, sort, price, and stage donations
  • Transport stock within the store
  • Manage time efficiently to meet standards
  • Contribute to team success
  • Assist in pricing furniture and handling cardboard

Physical Requirements

Lift/move up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs, reach, bend, stand long periods, evaluate donations, identify odors.

Environmental Conditions

Work in warehouse environment, exposure to heat, cold, dust, mold, and other allergens.

Tools and Equipment

Cash registers, carts, racks, tagging machines, pallet jacks, PPE, forklifts, etc.
