ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers, share product information, and help them find products that meet their needs. Retail Associates support product flow into the store and onto the sales floor, ensuring product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes and assist the Store Leadership team in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from stock rooms and inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store profitability by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Assist consumers by answering questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; understand their needs and support buying decisions. Uphold Columbia’s values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role or specialization
• Experience interacting with and serving consumers
• Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail software tools
• At least 16 years of age

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment requiring constant movement; may involve physical tasks such as lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in various locations.
• Clear communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability, which may change seasonally or based on business needs, in compliance with laws.
