General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include making eye contact, smiling, greeting Customers courteously, treating fellow Associates with respect, following company standards, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The role involves performing various functions across the store as needed, with flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment, keep exits clear, and report unsafe conditions.
• Show respect and courtesy to Customers and Associates; be friendly and professional.
• Assist Customers, including register training, merchandise assistance, and answering questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Respond promptly to Customer service needs, handle issues courteously, and escalate to Leadership when necessary.
• Represent and support the Company brand consistently.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Conduct daily merchandising and recovery to keep the store organized and presentable.
• Expedite merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising according to guidelines and maintaining product knowledge.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and standards.
• Demonstrate integrity, safeguard confidential information, and handle transactions accurately.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and touches to maximize productivity.

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Ability to operate store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and carry/lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Use janitorial and store equipment as needed.
• Stockroom shifts require pushing, pulling, and lifting over 20 pounds.
