Coen Markets, LLC is seeking an Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in operating a busy Pennsylvania store. You will lead a team of clerks, deliver strong customer service, manage scheduling, and help drive sales and profitability in alignment with the business plan.

The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to work a 24/7 operation. You must maintain inventory accuracy, adhere to policies, and model professional conduct.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in retail settings or completion of Store Assistant Manager training.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs as part of daily duties.
• Demonstrate Store Clerk duties and manage store activities in manager's absence.
• Support 24/7 operation and ensure proper staffing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in recruiting and supervising a sales-oriented team.
• Coach clerks on POS procedures, customer service, and up-selling.
• Enforce company policies and comply with laws/regulations.
• Supervise in the Store Manager’s absence and manage labor scheduling.
• Help achieve sales goals and maximize profitability.
• Control shrink and loss, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare bank deposits and manage accounting records when needed.
• Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels; verify deliveries.
• Maintain pricing, in-code item status, and store presentation.
• Foster teamwork among clerks, supervisors, and vendors.
• Communicate significant events to staff and management.
