Job summary

Dollar General is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help keep a clean, customer-focused store. You will assist the Store Manager with staff supervision, merchandise presentation, and daily paperwork while handling stocking, cashier duties, and bank deposits as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least twice per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, rotating, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Support planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
