ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Assistant Store Manager is crucial to our success, supporting the Management Team in operations and team leadership. You will drive daily store performance, inspire employees, and ensure excellent customer service. Managing inventory, visual merchandising, and implementing sales strategies, you will directly impact the store’s profitability and success.

COMPENSATION:

STARTING RATE: $19.34

HOURLY RANGE: $18.34 - $20.34

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, motivate employees to achieve sales and customer service goals, fostering a positive environment.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers' standards for style and innovation.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor for a seamless shopping experience.
  • Operations Management: Oversee store systems, including scheduling and opening/closing procedures, supporting peak operations by occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sales Management: Implement strategies to drive revenue and exceed sales targets.
  • Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns to maintain satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills for inventory and operational tasks
  • Experience in sales management and achieving results
  • Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Confidentiality and urgency in actions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
  • Leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality preferred, not required
  • Sales skills to drive revenue and meet targets
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
