Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a Part time role at our Bethlehem, PA location. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, and maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms.

You will help supervise and train Store Associates, process directives, and uphold safety and company policies while ensuring a positive, respectful environment

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Provide positive customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays; ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; deter loss.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect assets, including store cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
