Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in McMurray, PA to support store operations and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well organized and displayed.

The role involves opening/closing, following corporate directives, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. The position is part-time with responsibilities across the sales floor and stockroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent movement and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store is well-presented.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts; loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Clean and restock bathrooms; sweep/mop floors; take out trash; keep areas neat.
