Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, Inc. is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager II to provide store leadership at our largest Goodwill site.

You will supervise the processing/warehouse team, handle elevated customer issues with a commitment to friendly service, and lead by example in line with company guidelines. You will contribute to meeting store goals, learn about budgets, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while modeling integrity and teamwork for staff and customers alike.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree in business-related field preferred.
• Five years of progressive management experience.
• Experience in either a retail or production facility or facility similar to Goodwill.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, scheduling, counseling and terminating staff as requested.
• Ensure production goals and sales goals are met.
• Close store, reconcile cash with daily sales reports and secure facility for night.
• Prepare and maintain records of store operations including daily sales reports, cash deposits and opening/closing reports.
• Handle cash register/customer service.
• Receive, price and stock donations; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10–35 pounds frequently.
• Hang/Inspect/Tag textile & clothing in production setting.
