Job summary

Böhme is a leading lifestyle retailer seeking an Assistant Manager to work with the Store Manager on daily store operations, driving sales and controlling costs, while growing the böhme brand. This role focuses on staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and adherence to visual standards.

The candidate will lead by example, manage a diverse team, and ensure excellent customer service, merchandising, and cash handling. Sunday shifts are required monthly.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• At least one-year retail management experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to count and perform retail mathematical equations.
• Excellent organization, verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work POS, and other store computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and recommend potential employee candidates for the store.
• Train sales staff to develop in their areas and progress within the company.
• Enforce policies and take disciplinary action when necessary.
• Assist in staff scheduling including breaks, overtime and shifts.
• Establish and maintain a diverse workforce in store.
• Train, supervise and motivate staff to meet sales goals.
• Promote staff during sales contests.
• Resolve customer service concerns professionally.
• Maintain store merchandising to company standards and manage inventory.
• Oversee cash handling and banking procedures.
• Keep POS knowledge up to date and train on POS technology.
• Secure assets and maintain loss prevention standards.
• Act in store leadership in absence of Store Manager.
• One Sunday shift a month is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
