Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in McComb, MS to support Store Manager in daily operations and drive excellent customer service. You will supervise staff, handle merchandising, scheduling, and store controls while promoting products and services.

Ideal candidate has 1–3 years in retail, strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to lead during peak periods. This role reports to the Store Manager and requires non-exempt, hourly employment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store in Manager's absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain customer service excellence per manuals.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise.
