Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Macclenny, Florida location. You’ll assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise placement, opening/closing tasks, and adherence to corporate directives while ensuring a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and prior store management experience in retail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
