Byrne Dairy & Deli is seeking an Assistant Retail Manager to oversee a single store, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and operating efficiency. The role includes training staff, managing inventory, and upholding safety and sanitation standards to maintain a premier store experience.

You will support food service and ice cream areas, supervise staff, and help ensure compliance with company policies. A 45-hour work week including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Minimum 1 year retail experience.
• Follow rules and directions.
• Must be highly motivated.
• Ability to manage presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Supervise others by assigning work, evaluations and training.
• Assistant Store Managers work 45 hours per week including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with regulations on freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Oversee merchandise deliveries and compare with orders.
• Supervise and train employees; delegate duties.
• Monitor store cleanliness and appearance per guidelines.
• Maintain stock levels and rotation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
• Assist in food service and ice cream areas.
