Job summary

Dollar Tree in Salina, KS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, support opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and ensure seasonal displays meet company standards.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, maintain safe, friendly environments, handle payroll and scheduling, and oversee loss prevention while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive manner.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, deposits, and receipts; loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas and security of assets.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable; restock as needed.
