Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Fargo, ND to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support daily functions, organise merchandise, and ensure safety and policy compliance across the store.

You’ll train and supervise Store Associates, manage opening and closing procedures, and contribute to a positive, energetic shopping environment while meeting company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure employees follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
