POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in supervision and oversight of all team members and business operations, monitoring and facilitating all production and retail processes, including pick-up, delivery, shipping, and quality control. Manages the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager performs all functions normally performed by team members.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, and expert service to all customers.
- Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences.
- Resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and satisfaction, if necessary.
- Creates a customer-focused environment in all store areas and maintains a clean, professional environment.
- Establishes and manages customer flow processes to improve service and ensure customer needs are met quickly with quality products.
- Provides training and development for team members on assigned shifts, monitoring goals and offering feedback.
- Participates in interviewing job applicants, complies with hiring policies, and assists in hiring with the Store Manager.
- Coaches, counsels, and provides feedback to team members regarding performance and adherence to policies.
- Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and production team to meet deadlines and ensure quality checks.
- Oversees shipping services and activities.
- Communicates with the Store Manager and team about goals, performance metrics, customer issues, and initiatives.
- Enforces FedEx Office policies and maintains control environment.
- Assists in payroll review and POS daily close-out.
- Performs administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, training compliance, inventory controls, and supplies management.
- Performs other duties as needed or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications at hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding breaks.
- Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to bend and twist at waist and knees.
- Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Work cooperatively and follow instructions.
- Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Report regularly to work and maintain established hours to support business operations.
