Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas in Austin is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager for Wolf Crossing to lead our retail team and deliver an exceptional donor and customer experience.

You'll partner with the Retail General Manager, supervise staff, manage scheduling, inventory, and cash handling, and step in during GM absence. There is a $750 bonus after 30 days and a quarterly bonus of up to 12.5% based on performance. Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college experience a plus.
• 5+ years in retail; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
• Customer-first attitude and team-focused mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stay active.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations, staffing, merchandising, and customer service.
• Supervise and mentor staff across retail, donation, and production.
• Manage scheduling, inventory control, cash handling, and opening/closing.
• Assist donors, sort inventory, and serve customers on the floor.
• Drive store productivity while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
• Take the lead on store operations in GM's absence.

You’ll partner with the Retail General Manager to oversee daily operations, guide an amazing team, and create outstanding customer experience. When the GM’s away, you step in to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support the Retail GM in leading store operations, staffing, merchandising, and customer service.

Sales Associates, Merchandise Processors and Retail Supervisors. Your leadership will make a real impact on team performance and morale.

What You Bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent; college a plus
• 5+ years of experience in retail or similar roles
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management position
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills
• A customer-first attitude and team-focused mindset
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stay active throughout your shift
