Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Team Member to help safeguard customers, team members, and vendors while maintaining safety and security standards.

You will conduct inspections, monitor for theft, review alarm and camera systems, document incidents, and participate in investigations and potential court proceedings. Prior security experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 months security experience or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior and parking lot to identify hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor to ensure safety and security.
• Reviews cashier exception reports and theft activity reports.
• Performs internal and external theft surveillance and supports apprehension when needed.
• Documents incidents thoroughly to support potential litigation and court proceedings.
• Assists in prosecution of theft cases and participates in safety trainings and audits.
