Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to learn the technical requirements of the job.

• Have the ability to travel as required.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Asset Protection in shrink reduction activities including theft and audit functions.
• Develop knowledge of the criminal justice system and related private security laws.
• Maintain relationships with local police and court systems.
• Complete and maintain accurate reports and files.
• Maintain store averages for shoplifting deterrence.
• Detect, apprehend and deter shoplifters per company guidelines and laws.
• Make court appearances when necessary.
• Be proficient in CCTV and asset protection programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of related investigations.
• Assist Regional Asset Protection Manager in training new Coordinators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.
• New York State: obtain current security license or provide status; aid provided.
