Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe, secure store environment. You will support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and work with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence.

You will collaborate with the Asset Protection Manager and store teams, utilizing CCTV, RFID, and reporting tools to drive results. The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and integrity in all safety-related duties.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Valid security license required in specified locations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to safety situations.
• Strong accountability, initiative and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills (preferred).
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting, and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data, conducting package checks, and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and other reporting tools.
• Complete accurate and timely incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention and connect with local law enforcement.
