Job summary

The RealReal is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard people and assets in our Glendale store. You will monitor safety processes, review security footage, and help maintain inventory integrity across the store.

Minimum requirements include 1+ year of AP/security experience and strong knowledge of CCTV, alarms, and access control. Flexible schedule with night/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience.
• Strong understanding of physical security including CCTV, EAS, alarms, access control, and lock and key.
• Ability to work with all levels of management within the company.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• A customer-focused mindset with a drive to provide a warm and welcoming environment.
• Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to respond to alarm company calls and be available after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans.
• Utilize CCTV to review video for safety and investigations and bring internal and external cases to closure.
• Help lead weekly inventory cycle count and partner with inventory operations to reconcile inventory variances.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly audits to ensure shortage control, safety, and AP policies are followed.
• Responsible for physical security of the building as a key holder, including off hour alarm response.
• Help train current and new team members on AP processes and systems; guide onboarding.
