Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Asset Protection Detective to help create a safe, secure environment for customers and team members at our Indiana stores. You will investigate internal and external theft, including ORC activity, and implement proactive safety practices to protect people and assets.

This full-time role emphasizes surveillance, incident documentation, and collaboration with store leadership to address safety concerns and support potential legal actions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect exterior/parking to mitigate hazards.
• Conduct walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Review cashier exception reports and theft activity.
• Conduct internal and shoplifting surveillance and assist in prosecutions.
• Document incidents thoroughly and testify in court if required.
