Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Architect to lead project coordination across all design and construction phases. You will deliver contract documents for permits and construction and provide AutoCAD/Revit support for project document preparation.

The role requires strong knowledge of building codes, experience coordinating complete contract documents, and effective communication with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Architecture.
• Experience working on retail projects strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is preferred; equivalent related experience will also be considered.
• Revit skills.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead project coordination with consultant teams across site planning, conceptual, schematic, design development, construction document, and construction phases
• Deliver contract documents for permits and construction
• Provide AutoCAD/Revit support for project document preparation
• Use company resource groups to prepare design and construction documents
• Assist the Project Manager with construction services, including site visits and shop drawing reviews
• Perform project code searches and analysis
• Assist with project schedules and budget reviews
• Assist with submittals for jurisdiction agencies
• Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and Ware Malcomb team members
• Support innovative design projects through all phases of design and construction administration
