Job summary

Jobtailor in Columbus, OH is seeking a Demand Forecasting Specialist to formalize and lead a monthly S&OP process, collaborating with Sales to develop consensus on forecasts and trade planning. The role requires translating demand forecasting into the Modus system and managing the relationship with the Modus provider.

You will develop reporting tools, analyze data, and support annual planning with scenario modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, statistics, data analytics, or supply chain or similar work experience.
• 3–5 years of demand forecasting experience.
• Experience in or comfort with fast‑paced, high‑growth companies.
• Understanding of retail and trade math, including pricing structures (EDLC, OI, MCB).
• Understanding of path to distribution through various methods (Direct ship to store, direct to retailers, through distributor networks).
• Consumer Packaged Good industry knowledge; Knowledge of syndicated data tools (Spins, Nielsen, IRI).
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to tell a clear data story.
• Excel proficiency, continuous improvement mindset, and ability to enhance processes.
• Modus or other trade and sales forecasting software experience.
• Intellectually curious and highly detail‑oriented.
• Self-starter with ownership mindset.

• Identify learning opportunities as shipments actualize with the goal of a more accurate forecast
