Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analytics professional to support buying, planning, and inventory insights in a fast-paced retail environment. You will perform ad hoc analyses, build dashboards, and investigate data across large datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, BigQuery, and o9.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, a retail background, and experience with BI tools; collaboration across functions is essential to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and attention to detail with a retail background.
• Experience in analytics and ad hoc reporting for operations or buying/planning teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization/BI tools.
• Familiarity with SQL or shown willingness to learn a programming language.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn new systems while troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication; able to collaborate across functions.
• Bachelor's degrees in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Buying and Planning teams to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Resolve reporting or system issues while handling large datasets.
• Support ad hoc analysis, dashboards, and data investigations for business needs.
• Use Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, BigQuery, and o9 for analysis and planning.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of buying, planning, and inventory KPI.
• Evaluate outputs with critical thinking and math skills.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
• Monitor key performance metrics regularly.
• Audit data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
