Job summary

Qualifications

• Convenience store or retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review store paperwork and reporting for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify and monitor cash overages and shortages.
• Monitor and analyze fuel gallon overages and shortages.
• Review store invoices to ensure correct entry and retailing.
• Validate store inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
• Review manually entered store transactions and identify irregularities.
• Identify and research unusual transactions and collaborate with management to resolve issues.
• Communicate recurring issues to Retail leadership.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Retail Analyst to join our team. This position supports our retail operations by reviewing store-level paperwork and operational data, identifying discrepancies, and helping ensure accurate reporting across our store locations.

What You’ll Do:

As a Retail Analyst, you'll work closely with our Retail team and store management to help ensure the accuracy of store reporting. You'll review daily store information, investigate discrepancies, identify potential issues, and help stores correct errors when they occur.

Your work will help Home Oil maintain accurate reporting and strong operational controls across our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review store paperwork and reporting for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify and monitor cash overages and shortages
• Monitor and analyze fuel gallon overages and shortages
• Review store invoices to ensure they are entered and retailed correctly
• Validate store inventory counts and identify discrepancies
• Review manually entered store transactions, including money orders, phone cards, and other applicable items
• Identify and research unusual transactions or discrepancies and work with store management to resolve identified issues
• Identify recurring issues or trends and communicate concerns to Retail leadership
• Ensure assigned store reviews are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with additional retail reporting and analytical responsibilities as needed
