Job summary

Our client, a leading AmLaw firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group. This is a compelling opportunity to work on complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters, distressed financings, and special situations transactions within a sophisticated and fast-paced practice.

This role offers exposure to high-profile matters across industries, with a hybrid New York location and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance transactions.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, both in-court and out-of-court.
• Advise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financings.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related transaction documents.
• Support liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys.
