Job summary

Our client, a global law firm, seeks associates for its Insolvency & Restructuring practice in a NYC midtown hybrid setting. Candidates should have 2-4 years of restructuring experience, including cross-border matters, with strong academic credentials.

Requirements include a JD, admission to the New York Bar, and attendance at a top 50 law school with AmLaw 200 experience. Salary ranges from $235,000 to $310,000 plus bonus, with a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of restructuring experience representing debtors, ad hoc and statutory committees, secured creditors, asset purchasers, and other constituents in Chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings (including cross-border matters).
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated academic and professional excellence with strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• Integral member of high-performing, collaborative teams.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to the New York Bar, active and in good standing, is required.
• Must have attended a top 50 law school and worked at an AmLaw 200 Law Firm.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, committees, creditors, asset purchasers, and other constituents in Chapter 11 matters and related restructurings.
• Assist in cross-border restructurings and coordination with teams across the firm.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex matters.
• Provide thorough research, analysis, and writing to support strategies and filings.
