Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. is seeking a Senior Associate to support the Restructuring team within the Liquid Credit business. This role focuses on liability management and balance sheet restructuring initiatives across the platform.

You will analyze and structure activities, interfacing with advisors and lenders to advance strategic outcomes. Responsibilities include financial analysis, due diligence, and drafting memoranda.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in restructuring, distressed investing, or special situations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of credit markets, particularly restructuring and leveraged finance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze liability management and balance sheet alternatives.
• Underwrite and structure new-money investments related to restructuring transactions.
• Interface with restructuring advisors and other lenders.
• Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, industry research, and competitive analysis.
• Analyze legal documentation and draft memoranda for internal and external use.
