Job summary

Verital Advisory Search represents a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm seeking an Associate to join its Chicago Restructuring Practice. The Chicago team consists of approximately 10 attorneys, backed by a larger national platform with leadership locally.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active Illinois Bar admission.
• Minimum 1+ year of bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors' rights experience.
• Chapter 11 or creditor-side experience preferred.
• Bankruptcy clerkship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent secured lenders and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Assist with Chapter 11 cases, DIP financing, cash collateral matters, and reorganization plans.
• Work on out-of-court workouts, distressed transactions, and restructurings.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and related agreements.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the national practice.
