Job summary

Interlink Recruitment is seeking a Corporate Restructuring Associate for a leading Am Law 50 firm, based in New York or Chicago. The role offers exposure to high-profile, multi-jurisdictional restructurings and will involve working with lenders, creditors and major corporates.

You will handle sophisticated in-court and out-of-court matters, advise on debtor-side restructurings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic balance sheet solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in corporate restructuring.
• Experience in in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
• Debt/creditor and debtor-side experience desirable.
• Admitted to practise law in New York or Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
• Represent companies in Chapter 11 proceedings.
• Assist with liability management and distressed debt exchanges.
• Draft restructuring agreements, financing documents and plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on domestic and cross-border matters.
• Develop commercially focused restructuring strategies with senior attorneys.
