Job summary

The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a Restorative Therapy Aide for the Long Term Care Division. You will assist residents with feeding, ambulation, grooming, dressing, and range of motion exercises to enhance quality of life and maintain functioning.

Under the direction of a physical therapist or Restorative Nurse, you will help prepare treatment areas, transport residents, disinfect equipment, and coordinate with the therapy team to improve resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Skilled/Long-term care facilities.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with CMS and Joint Commission surveys.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with feeding, ambulation, grooming, and ROM to improve function.
• Support therapy sessions and prep treatment areas.
• Transport residents to therapy and maintain equipment.
