Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support restorative practices and student behavior in a diverse, inclusive environment. You will assist with implementing behavior systems, collaborations with families, and PD facilitation related to restorative education.

The role includes direct student support, affinity group guidance, and alignment with district policies to foster a safe, respectful school community.

Qualifications

• Two years post-secondary education or a passing ParaPro Score.
• Two years of student/family support services experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in self-management strategies.
• Consults with parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators regarding student behavior and conflict resolution.
• Forms and supports student affinity groups.
• Assists with PD facilitation related to Restorative Practices/Justice in Education.
• Provides individual support to students with behavioral concerns.
• Follows building disciplinary plans and District policies.
• Implements, monitors, and tracks building behavior systems.
• Participates in building level student support meetings.
• Promotes the District mission and maintains a cooperative workplace environment.
