Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional for the federal IV program, delivering tailored instruction and support to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges within HELP. You will collaborate with IEP teams, assist with behavior plans, supervise in classrooms and on trips, and help collect data while adhering to safety protocols and district core values.

Wage reflects a paraprofessional position with an hourly rate of $25.45 and 175 instructional days,

Qualifications

Two years post-secondary education or a passing ParaPro score.
Ability to use instructional strategies to reinforce learning.
Experience supporting students with disabilities and behavior needs.

Responsibilities

Reinforce learning with individuals or small groups under certified staff guidance.
Assist with behavior plans and de-escalation strategies.
Supervise students in classrooms, lunch, field trips, and arrival/departure times.
Observe and document student progress and behaviors.
Collaborate with IEP teams and communicate student needs to staff.
Assist with data collection and adhere to safety protocols.
Support mobility and daily activities for students with disabilities.
