Job summary

Creekside Post Acute in Yucaipa, CA is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team. The RNA will provide nursing care and assist with daily treatments such as ambulation, splinting and range of motion exercises, and support patients with hygiene and activities of daily living.

The ideal candidate has completed a nursing assistant course and holds a high school diploma or equivalent; hospital experience with references is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with hygiene and daily living assistance including toileting, bathing, showers; assist with meals and ambulation, turning and positioning.
• Check vital signs and weight; perform basic tests as needed; assist with dressings and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain any required specialized training and perform additional tasks pertinent to patient care as needed.

Job description

Creekside Post Acute is looking for a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team in our Yucaipa location. The RNA will provide nursing care to patients and assist them with daily treatments such as ambulation, splinting and range of motion exercises. We are currently hiring for fulltime alternating schedule:
4-2 schedule as follows, 2 days 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and the other 2 days 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Experience preffered.

The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, punctual, and enjoys helping others. This person must be reliable, empathetic, and be able to work with all types of people.

Responsibilities:

• Patient care – Instill confidence and trust in patients in a competent and caring manner. Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This could include toileting, bathing, and assisting patients with showers. Support the patient with meals as needed. Ambulate, turn, and position patients as required.
• Medical needs – Check vital signs and weight. Perform sugar and acetone urine testing and specimen collection. Administer non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz, and therapeutic baths.
• Professional development – Maintain any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area.
