Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide training and outreach on conflict resolution, de-escalation, and mediation for students and staff.
• Implement ongoing assessment models to produce information on student conduct.
• Identify behavioral trends and use data for planning and prevention.
• Analyze conflicts, identify root causes, and help parties reach mutually agreed resolutions.

Restorative Justice: (Willing to train the right individual for the assignment)

• Must be Student Centered/focused

• Effective Communication skills (both speaking and in writing) , and willing to communicate with families by phone, in-person, or via email.

• provide training and outreach programs on conflict resolution, de-escalation strategies, and mediation skills to promote constructive communication and problem-solving for students and staff

• Understanding concepts of multiculturalism, diversity, power/privilege and how these impact the perception and resolution of conflict.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and/or experience in Restorative Justice/Practice
• Experience with alternative dispute resolution programs
• Experience promoting cultural awareness and social justice
• Self-Motivated, independent worker
• Effective Team member
• Produce will-written resolution agreements for parties involved in a dispute
• Participation in organizational diversity and equity initiatives
• Must have 60 college credits or state approved assessment - Title 1

Salary: Salary is in accordance with the New Haven Schools Para-professional Association/MEA and the New Have Board of Education

Candidate must pass background check.
