Job summary

Ovid Healthcare Center is seeking a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant to carry out restorative nursing programs and individualized resident care plans under licensed supervision. You will promote independence, mobility, and quality of life through restorative interventions, collaborating with nursing, therapy, and the care team.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, resident safety, and compassionate care for residents, including those with dementia, in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED.
• At least one year CNA experience and/or training.
• Restorative care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of restorative competency.

Responsibilities

• Implements restorative programs as directed by nursing and therapy.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support to residents.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ADL retraining.
• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Report changes to licensed nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Cares for residents with Dementia and supports independence.
