Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a certified nursing assistant for day shift in a long-term care setting. You will provide resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN, assist with mobility, grooming, feeding, and daily living activities, and use restorative techniques to support independence.

You will document progress in the EMR, follow infection prevention protocols, complete annual competency testing, maintain education credits, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus and

Qualifications

Must be CNA certified.
Completion of a CNA training program with at least 40 hours of restorative care training (may be provided by licensed therapists).
Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits.
Minimum age 16; prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
Assist with mobility, exercises, dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding and daily living activities.
Document resident progress and report changes promptly.
Follow infection prevention protocols and proper PPE use, and use EMR for documentation.
