Job summary

Kindred Hospital St Louis South is seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide to join its long-term acute care team. You will provide restorative nursing interventions to support patients during custodial care and post-rehab, promoting safe, independent functioning.

This full-time, day-shift position runs 9:00am–3:30pm, with a requirement to work one weekend per month. You will collaborate with licensed nurses and therapists, participate in quality activities, and help maintain a compassionate,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience as a Rehab Tech or Restorative Nursing Aide in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Competence with basic computer and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide restorative nursing interventions to support patients in reaching maximum functional potential.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or therapist.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
• Assist in collecting quality review data and survey preparation.
• Support cost-effective care delivery and interdisciplinary group activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Demonstrate professional behavior in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Adhere to the standards of professional organizations and internal policies.
• Contribute to client relations and marketing efforts.
• Maintain clinical competency and participate in team meetings.
• Support administrative and clinical efficiency initiatives.
