Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a Restorative Aide to perform restorative nursing measures for residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services. Duties include ROM exercises, transfers, positioning, ADL assistance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Evidence of job stability in previous roles.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Able to follow supervision and directions.
• Good health and ability to read/write English.
• Currently enrolled in a Restorative Aide class or possess a Restorative Aide Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform ROM exercises, whirlpool, ambulation, transfer, positioning and bed mobility as ordered by physician.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Assist with adaptive devices and handroll/splint application.
• Document daily on RNA sheet and summarize weekly progress notes.
• Report changes to Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing Services and Physical Therapist.
• Participate in resident Plan of Care conferences and follow physician orders.
