Job summary

The Restorative Aide role at American Medical Administrators MGMT Company supports residents in maintaining physical function and independence through restorative nursing programs under the guidance of nursing and rehabilitation staff.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with mobility and transfers, encourage independence in activities of daily living, and document progress while ensuring privacy and safety for each resident.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current, valid Restorative Aide certification.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and restorative activities.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and instructions from nursing and rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative nursing programs according to individualized care plans.
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and other restorative activities as directed.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence with activities of daily living.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition, mobility, behavior, or functioning to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Accurately document restorative activities and resident participation.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and safety standards.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Work cooperatively with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
