Responsibilities

• Provides safe restorative care of the resident.
• Performs documentation on flow sheets and other applicable forms of all restorative care activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly resident environment.
• Reports malfunctioning, broken or hazardous equipment or conditions.
• Observes policies and procedures as demonstrated through performance of procedures and tasks.
• Provides restorative programs including Splint, Dining, High Steppers, LYFE Today, and Reach Programs.
• Observes resident’s condition and reports changes to supervisor.
• Provides one-on-one training.

Education

Graduate of state approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Program certified by Maryland Registry

Overview

At FutureCare the Restorative Aide works under the supervision of a licensed nurse, implementing treatment plans recommended by a licensed physical therapist. The Restorative Aide is responsible for implementing basic restorative care programs and rehabilitative programs.

• High Steppers (ambulation) Program
• LYFE Today (Living Your Life to its Fullest Everyday) Program
• Reach (range of motion) Program
• Observes resident’s condition and reports changes to supervisor
• Provides one-on-one training

Qualifications

• Graduate of state approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Program certified by Maryland Registry
