Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Kindred Hospital Brea (California) is hiring a Restorative Aide on a per diem basis. The wage scale is $25.00-$30.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

As a Restorative Aide, you will provide restorative nursing interventions under supervision to promote max functioning and well-being, reporting changes to the supervising nurse and participating in quality initiatives. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Six months experience as a Rehab Tech or Restorative Nursing Aide in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• Skills: Competence with basic computer and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide restorative nursing interventions under supervision to support patients.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to supervising staff.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
• Assist in collecting quality review data and survey preparation.
• Support cost-effective care delivery and interdisciplinary group activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain professional behavior with patients and colleagues.
• Adhere to standards of professional organizations and internal policies.

How you ll contribute

A Restorative Aide provides restorative nursing interventions under the supervision of a licensed nurse to support patients discharged from formal rehabilitation therapy, those not eligible for formal therapy, or those requiring supplemental interventions during custodial care. The goal is to promote independent, safe functioning and enhance physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Restorative nursing services (excluding Continuous Passive Motion) do not require a physicians order.

• Perform restorative nursing interventions to support patients in reaching maximum functional potential.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or therapist.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
