Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland in New Lenox, IL seeks a Restoration Technician to respond to water and fire events and perform drying, demolition, and related restoration tasks. On-the-job training will cover high IICRC standards.
No prior experience is required; starting pay is based on experience. This full-time role runs 7:30-4:00 with overtime after 40 hours, and rotation for on-call. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.

You will be making an impact each day by responding to customer needs for Water and Fire Restoration jobs. This includes the completion of drying, demolition, and other restoration activities. Responsibilities:
Perform production/restoration process per work order and crew chief instructions
Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle along with clean equipment
Prepare rooms/areas for work activities
Leave job site with a clean and orderly appearance
Communicate openly with customers, general manager and other technicians
Qualifications:
Ability to learn and apply knowledge
Hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your work
Enjoy assisting people that are in need
Valid driver's license
High school diploma/GED
IICRC certification is a plus
Experience in cleaning/restoration
Requirements :
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary
Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions or misdemeanors involving violence or theft.
